3 Ways to Love Your Body

Hi - I’m Rene Ficek, Registered Dietitian & Certified Diabetes Educator. It’s February, so what better month to celebrate “love”, and the love of your physical body is one of the best things you can do for your own well being. But, contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be a size 4 or fit into a certain pair of jeans to be happy and healthy.

Tip 1: Forget One-Size-Fits-All

Try to remember what a healthy and a natural body feels like. Setting yourself up for something that’s unrealistic or unattainable will only set yourself up for disappointment.

Tip 2: Focus on How You Feel

And of course, we want to really remember how “healthy” feels. Try a new yoga class, or try a new fitness DVD, or take a walk with your partner every evening and focus on how you feel good afterwards.

Tip 3: Nourish the Body from Within
