Kelly and I love music. We listen to all sorts of music, but Cole Porter is by far our favorite artist. We like to listen to music in the early evenings when we go on our nightly dates. We sit on our patio, talk, sometimes read, take in nature and often enjoy a glass of wine. I find it relaxing and it always brings us back together after a long day.

It's funny how music has a way of transporting you to another place and time. It serves as a vehicle to your past and future experiences you dream of doing. Life without music would be dull and boring in my opinion.

I have always enjoyed music, even as a child it was a big part of my life. Music was one of my many activities I participated in from the time I can recall. I played the piano and in the band I played the tenor saxophone. Back then, there were not all the different activities for children to choose from and it was a no cost form of entertainment. We were all about that, after having survived the Great Depression. Money was tight and nobody thought about foolishly spending money unnecessarily on mere entertainment. We made our own entertainment in those days.

Now there are so many artists and so many musical choices to choose from. It fascinates me that music continues to evolve and change as we all do over time. But it also seems to repeat itself and somehow be revived into a new genre.

One change I've seen is the resurgence of country music. It was mainstream long before the term was used and really the only music before rock and roll came out. But now it seems to have a young following with new artists popping up overnight.

Our youngest daughter, Sarah, loves country music. She's our official country music fan in the family. Many current country artists I've been exposed to are because of her and her love of it.

I think we all know of someone who loves country music like our Sarah does a friend, neighbor, sister, aunt, wife or daughter? Well, if you have a friend, relative or co-worker who's totally nuts about Toby Keith, then have I got a treat for you! That is, if that same person could benefit from our healthy, delicious, convenient meals.
