Our Seattle Sutton’s 2014 Slim Down Contestants are doing a great job in their 3 weeks and counting on our meals. To date, the group has lost a total of 155.9 pounds in a mere 21 days! I’m so happy for each and every one of them for doing this for themselves and their health.
I’d like to call out a few contestants for their efforts to date, not to say not all are doing fantastic and losing weight, but these three are losing the most weight so far based on percentage of body weight. And, since our contest is based on that formula, I thought you might enjoy seeing how they stack up so far.
In the lead we have Michael P. he’s a dentist by day and a family man. Right now, he’s lost a total of 9.57 percent of his body weight (a total of 24.5 pounds).
Next in second we have Jessica M. she’s a doggie bus driver for a dog daycare, among many other things, and right now she’s lost a total of 9.26 percent of her body weight (a total of 18.2 pounds).
Last but not least, we have Sue. K, school treasurer, as well as a mom, and at this point she’s lost a total of 8.79 percent of her body weight (a total of 16 pounds).
It just goes to show with the right food, attitude and dedication, you can do it! I’m so proud of all the contestants and every pound loss is a success.
It’s anyone’s guess who will be crowned the winner in about 11 weeks, but in my book, everyone is already a winner!
I look forward to sharing with you next week the results for the contestants at the 1-month mark. Check back here for details on how they are doing, and since February is heart health month, I’m going to talk a little about keeping your ticker healthy!
I hope you use their results as motivation for you this week, to make healthy food choices and lifestyle changes.
Have a great, healthy week!
