Our Seattle Sutton's 2012 Slim Down contestants are having such terrific results! I knew they would, if they followed the program and ate what we provided them. In a mere 6 weeks, they have lost a total of 286 pounds.
Not only have they lost weight, but they've also started to improve their overall health. Many are seeing numbers -- blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar -- they have not seen in years. This is one positive side effect of healthy eating. I think they'll all agree that healthy eating has its benefits!
Our front-runner as of this week is Kim F. She has lost a total of 29.5 pounds to date and has dropped 15.69 percent of her body weight! Way to go, Kim!
When she registered for the contest, Kim said that she had high blood pressure and was being treated for it with medication. Her doctor told her she will eventually develop type II diabetes if she did not lose weight. She needed to make a lifestyle change.
Kim has improved her blood pressure significantly -- so much so, that it is now normal! She's looking forward to seeing her doctor this week in hopes of being taken off her medication. Additionally, Kim is no longer experiencing acid reflux and sleeps the entire night. And, the "icing on the cake" as she put it, is that nothing fits her anymore!
Kim is now exercising and has an excellent support system in place with her family, including her husband Chris, who is also on our meals as support to his wife and working out with her.
Her favorite Seattle Sutton's Healthy Eating meal so far is the fish taco meal and the egg casserole (she liked them both so much, she couldn't choose just one meal).
I'm sure this is not the last you've heard about Kim...keep reading each week and in only a few more weeks, you'll learn who can call themselves the Seattle Sutton's 2012 Slim Down winner. Although, I think all 10 contestants will agree, that they are all winners for going through this life changing experience.
Next week: Learn about how Bob B. is doing with his quest to slim down and improve his overall health.

Did you hear? Diet soda is linked to heart attacks and strokes in those who consume it daily. So, you may want to re-think that can of bubbly stuff the next time you desire to quench your thirst. Opt for water instead. Your body can use it and it won't cause ill effects to your health!
She made healthy eating her mission in life long before anyone else did, in hopes of helping her own obese father. A registered nurse by training and entrepreneur at heart, she lives, eats and breathes everything about healthy eating and helping to improve people’s eating habits and overall health. She enjoys never having to bother with grocery shopping, cooking and counting calories. Her favorite SSHE meal, although it’s hard to pick just one, is the Potato Gnocchi with Basil Pesto Sauce.
