We are pleased to host a local weight loss contest for area Ottawa, Ill. companies. This new effort is designed to help improve employee health in the area. Registration deadline for the contest is by Noon on April 15, 2016 to begin the program on April 18, 2016.
The program will kick off with an official weigh-in at our company headquarters located at 611 E. Stevenson Road in Ottawa on April 18, 2016 from at 9 AM to 6 PM. The final weigh in will take place at SSHE’s Ottawa-based headquarters on June 27, 2016 from 9 AM to 6 PM.
Employees will weigh in once per week, and pick up their SSHE meals twice-per-week or have them delivered. The employee who loses the most weight based on percentage of body weight lost will be $1,000 richer, courtesy of SSHE. The two runner-ups will receive $500 and $200 respectively for their weight loss results, also courtesy of SSHE.
In an effort to help local companies improve their employee’s health and overall productivity, we came up with a fun way to assist them while incentivizing them with cash prizes. We will track their progress week-to-week, and in the end, whoever loses the most weight based on percentage of body weight will win prizes that we are supplying.
The prizes we are providing are as follows for those who lose the most body weight based on percentage of loss: 1-$1,000 for first-place prize, 1-$500 for second-place prize and 1-$200 for third-place prize. Participants will be competing among other participants of local companies for the prizes.
SSHE meals are purchased by the participating employees who have signed up for the contest and who agreed to adhere to the SSHE healthy, freshly prepared meal program as part of the contest period of 10 weeks. The meal cost is the only cost associated with the contest, and orders will qualify for 5-week discounts ($30 off 5 weeks pre-paid order for meals). Delivery is available for an additional, small fee.
Contest questions can be directed to Erin Bedell at 815-931-5773 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Facts About the program:
She made healthy eating her mission in life long before anyone else did, in hopes of helping her own obese father. A registered nurse by training and entrepreneur at heart, she lives, eats and breathes everything about healthy eating and helping to improve people’s eating habits and overall health. She enjoys never having to bother with grocery shopping, cooking and counting calories. Her favorite SSHE meal, although it’s hard to pick just one, is the Potato Gnocchi with Basil Pesto Sauce.
