The Fourth of July! We celebrate our nation’s independence and our personal freedoms. Our political and economic systems may have their flaws, but the world has never known any better.
The fireworks are nice, of course, and so are the family gatherings. Community swimming pools are such an important part of summer festivities. BTW, that’s why Kelly and I strongly support the Marseilles Swimming Pool. A smaller community finds it more difficult to afford a town pool, but it can be done. Many people in Marseilles devote their time to making this happen.
Speaking of Kelly, July 2nd was his 79th birthday. I told him that I had married an old man. He pointed out that he hadn’t been old when we tied the knot.

Did you see the announcement by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that 24 million Americans suffer from diabetes? Another 57 million are at increased risk of developing the disease.
I am proud that the Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating meal plan is a strong and reliable weapon against diabetes. So many diabetics who follow our program find that losing weight and eating healthy is a definite benefit.
When I read our testimonials—which by the way often are hand-written by those wishing to give witness to their success—it is clear that many Type II diabetics are able to reduce and in some cases eliminate their medications. Type I diabetics also benefit, but still require medicine.
If you know a diabetic who is struggling to gain dominion over the disease, please let them know about Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating. You can even give them a week’s meals as a gift.

We have many Home Delivery customers who travel for business and pleasure and you’ll be interested to know that we “follow them” by sending their meals to the hotel or resort housing them for the time in question.
Many distributors—realizing their customers are going on vacation—will refer them to our Home Delivery department, and we find a way to get them their meals, and keep them on our healthy eating program.

(Paraphrased) question from a reader: “In 3 weeks I have lost 7 pounds. I am 74 and working hard every day (just like you). Your food is delicious, but I don’t like everything…what about substitutions?”
My answer: “Congratulations for your weight loss! We do not do substitutions…ever. If more than one person in the household is ordering, possibly you could share parts of meals that you prefer not to eat. Our meals are scientifically analyzed and nutritionally balanced for our customers’ benefit. Every item has nutritional significance. My goal is to improve your eating habits. Best wishes and keep up the good work.”

Another question: “What is the difference between Weight Watcher points and Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating portion-control?”
My answer: “Practically speaking, none. Weight loss difference, none. Healthy eating, well, the honest answer is ‘Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating is vastly superior.’”
She made healthy eating her mission in life long before anyone else did, in hopes of helping her own obese father. A registered nurse by training and entrepreneur at heart, she lives, eats and breathes everything about healthy eating and helping to improve people’s eating habits and overall health. She enjoys never having to bother with grocery shopping, cooking and counting calories. Her favorite SSHE meal, although it’s hard to pick just one, is the Potato Gnocchi with Basil Pesto Sauce.

My husband is wanting to do your 1200 calorie program but has a food allergy for anything seafood. Can he switch the seafood with another meal? Thank you.
