YOUR good health is OUR true mission

My 80th Birthday

Posted on 01/4/2012

I'm not one to toot my own horn, but celebrating one's 80th birthday is an exception to this rule, in my opinion. I've seen so much in my time and must take a moment to thank those who have helped me do so much with what I have been given.

My beloved husband, Kelly, is my anchor, my rock. He grounds me like no one else, but also provides me freedom to succeed. Thank you for your love, support and friendship. We were given the gift of five marvelous children that have been the joys of our lives.

My loving children, Chris, Paula, Peter, Ruth and Sarah, you all have made my life so full and happy in more ways than I can express. You have given me 14 beautiful, talented grandchildren that I adore and love so very much. Their presence has kept me young at heart and their life experiences continue to inspire me. And, last but not least, my great-grandchildren, you two are such joys and I adore you so much. I know as you grow up you will do good things.

I also have such a wonderful extended family that I am grateful for, as well as friends, colleagues and of course, my employees. Here's to you for being part of my life and making it so full. Thank you!

She made healthy eating her mission in life long before anyone else did, in hopes of helping her own obese father. A registered nurse by training and entrepreneur at heart, she lives, eats and breathes everything about healthy eating and helping to improve people’s eating habits and overall health. She enjoys never having to bother with grocery shopping, cooking and counting calories. Her favorite SSHE meal, although it’s hard to pick just one, is the Potato Gnocchi with Basil Pesto Sauce.
