LaSalle County Contest

LaSalle County residents, do you want to lose weight? Well, Seattle Sutton's Healthy Eating (SSHE) is sponsoring a weight loss contest called the Seattle Sutton's 2012 Slim Down Contest. We intend to help 10 lucky LaSalle County (State of Illinois) residents lose weight and improve their health in 2012. One grand prize winner who loses the most weight will take home the $1,500 cash prize.

We will provide 10 contestants a chance to make a lifestyle change once and for all. For 15 weeks contestants will receive SSHE meals for FREE, beginning on January 9, 2012 and concluding the week of April 23, 2012. Meals provided include 21 meals per week -- every breakfast, lunch and dinner for the contestants, a total of 315 meals in all.

Registration for the contest starts today, October 26, 2011 at 10 AM, and concludes on November 15, 2011 at 10 AM. Register at seattlesutton.com, pick up a copy of the registration form at our company headquarters in Ottawa or mail in a copy from the Ottawa Times or Ottawa Delivered. Selected contestants will be notified by December 21, 2011.

The contestant who loses the most weight based on percentage of body weight will be $1,500 richer. Second place prize will win a trip for two to Las Vegas, including airfare and hotel accommodations. Third place prize will win a year membership to the Ottawa YMCA. Fourth place prize will win an overnight trip package to Bettendorf, IA including hotel accommodations, dinner and breakfast for two.

The contest is sponsored by SSHE in cooperation with WCMY 1430 AM, S&S Travel of Ottawa, the YMCA of Ottawa, and All Points Travel.

To be considered for this contest, you must:

Submit to SSHE your story and recent photo story covers who you are, your history with weight loss, how much you currently weigh, what your ideal/goal weight is and what steps youve taken to date to lose weight. Please include your first and last name on your photo with your entry, along with your contact information address, phone numbers and e-mail.

Be willing and able to go participate in media interviews prior to, during and after the contest.

Be available for pre-interviews with SSHE.

Agree to weekly weigh-ins throughout the contest, including at the beginning and end of contest.

Be dedicated and willing to stay on SSHE meals exclusively for 15 weeks.

Agree to exercise, if medically able to do so according to your physician.

Be willing to have blood work completed, once at the beginning and once at the end, to measure cholesterol (including triglycerides, blood sugar and blood pressure taken. This is a free service provided by Ottawa Regional Hospital & Healthcare Center, as part of the contest.

Agree to sign release forms and contest rules to participate in contest. Official contest rules are posted online at seattlesutton.com.

Ready to lose weight once and for all? You have nothing to losefill out an online registration form at seattlesutton.com and submit your story with a current photo. You may also opt to upload a recent video of yourself telling your story about why you should be chosen. Or, look for copies of the registration form and direction to register in ads in The Ottawa Times or Ottawa Delivered from October 26, 2011 through November 15, 2011. Registration forms will also be available to pick up at the Ottawa location of Seattle Sutton's Healthy Eating at 611 E. Stevenson Road.
