YOUR good health is OUR true mission

In The Morning (or any other time of day)

Posted on 09/9/2008

Cool nights and warm days.  September in the Midwest.  I like the pre-harvest weather, right down to the crispy clean smell of our Fall air.  What a time to be alive!  What a time to enjoy the benefits of healthy eating!

Here’s our first testimonial from a customer of our brand new Kansas City franchise.  They’ve only been in business for six weeks, but Patty Fatakdawala is very impressed.  She’s an RN who is always looking to help people and—as you will soon discover—thinks she’s found another excellent way.  Here’s what she has to say:

“When I lived in Illinois I was on Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating program for over two years.  I had great success.  My hospital co-workers would comment on my weight loss and tell me I had a lot of willpower.  My response?  I have no willpower.  The meals from Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating were so nutritionally balanced that I just did not get hungry.

“Five years ago I moved to Overland Park, Kansas, to be closer to my grandchildren.  I love the area, but missed having Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating.  Frequently, I checked the web site, hoping that one day Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating would be in the Kansas area.

“One day my daughter stopped by my house on her way home from work.  She entered smiling and said, ‘Guess who is coming to Kansas?  It is someone you have been waiting for a long time.’

“I tried to think of a singer that maybe was having a concert, but before I had a chance to respond, my daughter blurted out, ‘Seattle Sutton is coming to Kansas City.  I just heard it on the radio.’

“I immediately went on the web site (www.seattlesutton.com) and signed up for the program.  That was six weeks ago and I have currently lost twelve pounds.  Even better I have been sleeping at night and my energy level has also gone up.  I am very glad for the increased energy level, as in a few weeks I will be opening my first Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating distributorship (in Merriam, Kansas).”

Patty—from one nurse to another—I couldn’t be happier about having someone like you join us as a distributor.  Many of our best distributors first became acquainted with us as customers.   I’m glad Seattle finally came to Kansas City.

Here’s something I find fascinating.  April Stevens, who handles our public relations, tells me that if you go to the homepage of our website and click on the link at the bottom of the page that says, “Translate to Spanish”—well, then the site is presented in Spanish.  If you have any Hispanic friends, please let them know.

My daughter Paula received a call on the Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating line from an on-the-road truck driver who had just heard one of our commercials.   His name is Adam Wiseman.

Adam wanted more information about Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating and, of course, Paula provided it.  Then he told her about a CD—“In The Morning (or any other time of day)”— that he had recorded.  His genre is country jazz, although it sure sounded like folk when I heard it.

How did I hear it?  Well, he sent it to Paula, who listened to it with her husband, J.D., and then forwarded it to Kelly and me.    It’s a good listen and the foundation of an amusing anecdote, because how many times does someone respond to one of our commercials and send us a collection of their music?

Seattle Sutton, BSN, RN

She made healthy eating her mission in life long before anyone else did, in hopes of helping her own obese father. A registered nurse by training and entrepreneur at heart, she lives, eats and breathes everything about healthy eating and helping to improve people’s eating habits and overall health. She enjoys never having to bother with grocery shopping, cooking and counting calories. Her favorite SSHE meal, although it’s hard to pick just one, is the Potato Gnocchi with Basil Pesto Sauce.
