Our employees are the heart and soul of our company. Without them I don't believe we could help the thousands of people we do each week to improve their eating habits. I know this and appreciate every each one of them for the job they all do everyday.
With Thanksgiving just a few days ago, I am a little reflective of how much our employees do to help others often times without even knowing it. I receive letters, emails and calls from people on a daily basis about how they have been helped by our portion and calorie controlled meals. It touches me each and every time. I never grow tired of hearing the stories. It helps reinforce what I do and why I do it. I do it for the fathers, mothers, uncles and aunts out there who need to regain their health. I do it for the children of today and those of tomorrow. I do it because it needs to be done.
With all the positive stories that I hear, I realize some times it does not always circulate to our employees who work on the assembly line or even our truck drivers moving product each week. We do a good job of letting our distributors know each week with our distributor newsletter, but our production employees who prepare, cook, bake and package all the items in the meals are often not informed about all the good we do. It truly is inspiring to hear such stories. We plan to do a better job in the future and let them know about our success stories. After all, without them, it wouldn't be possible.
Because we value our employees so much and want to thank them throughout the year, we like to do things for them, such as providing turkeys for them and their families at Thanksgiving. We recently handed out approximately 2,200 pounds of turkey to our employees. We believe such gestures go a long way in terms of helping them know how grateful we are to them. Tokens of appreciation help show our gratitude for all they do to help us help our clients.
Thank you to my wonderful employees for always giving and going above and beyond. We truly appreciate you and know you are an important part of helping the thousands of people coast-to-coast each week eat a healthy, balanced diet.
We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. Kelly and I spent the day with our daughter, Ruth, and her family in Indiana. We also had the pleasure of spending it with 100 of their closest friends for the annual Egofske Thanksgiving.
She made healthy eating her mission in life long before anyone else did, in hopes of helping her own obese father. A registered nurse by training and entrepreneur at heart, she lives, eats and breathes everything about healthy eating and helping to improve people’s eating habits and overall health. She enjoys never having to bother with grocery shopping, cooking and counting calories. Her favorite SSHE meal, although it’s hard to pick just one, is the Potato Gnocchi with Basil Pesto Sauce.
