Week one and our DuPage County Slim Down contestants are doing GREAT! In just 7 days of being on our meals they have lost a total of 77.9 pounds so far. They are on their way to achieving their weight loss goals and improved health. With 14 more weeks to go, I'm certain they will see significant results as long as they stick to the plan, drink their 2 glasses of fat-free (skim) milk and recommended water each day.
We know we can help people improve their eating habits and overall health. I've seen it time and again since starting the business in 1985. Cholesterol levels drop, blood sugars lower, and blood pressure improves...all from our healthy, balanced meals that are portion and calorie controlled. We help by taking the guesswork out, we figure out nutritionally what is the right mix of food, how much and package the freshly prepared meals for clients to enjoy the convenience of eating right.
For those of you on the fence and not sure how to regain your health, I say, start small and make one little change at a time and once that goal is achieved then move onto a new one. A great one to start with is by reducing and eventually eliminating drinking soda (regular or diet). Once you have that tackled, onto the next. Our meals can help when you are ready to improve your diet and eat proper portions.
A word for the contestants who are off to a great start...keep up the great job, follow the meal plan and you will see results. I guarantee it!
For next week's update, check back here to follow along and see how the group is doing on their weight loss journey. If you are also on the meals, why not "play along" and see how you do in comparison to them? A little friendly competition never hurt anybody, in fact, I can attest, it motivates many to do their very best when they are held accountable. Give it a try and let us know how you are doing with your lifestyle change.
'Til next week, have a happy and healthy week!
