Do The Right Thing

   What’s your favorite summer holiday memory?  Is it associated with Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day?   As for me, I used to play in the Gackle school band and we marched down Main Street on Memorial Day.  I played tenor sax.

   As an adult, my favorite summer holiday memory is canoeing down the Fox River on the Fourth of July with my grown children and my husband—who at the time was recovering from a complicated surgery.  The water’s easy pace and the beguiling scenery helped create a mood of appreciation.  Any mother can understand my satisfaction at spending contented and happy time with my children years after they had left our Marseilles nest.

   I never cared much for fireworks and did not encourage my children to use them.   My son Pete must have liked them, though.  When he left for college, I found a box of firecrackers in his room.  They’re still there.

   Another of my favorite Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating meals:  BBQ on Texas crust.  We mix meaty BBQ with fresh shredded cheese, and serve the delicious combination on Texas crust.  On the side, we serve garden fresh carrots and fresh grapes.  

   Oooh, how I love the total flavor of this meal.   It’s been on our menu for a long, long time.  We receive many positive remarks about our BBQ.  Lots of people wonder why we don’t serve it more often.   I like it so much, it might seem tempting to do so.  But our credo is a healthy, balanced menu with no meal repeats within five weeks.  We must stick to the method which has produced such fine results for so many people.

   I received a comment from a young athlete asking what a swimmer should eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.   Well, any athlete needs to eat a balanced diet with carbohydrates, lean protein, fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

   Ummm, that sounds a lot like Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating!  My advice to the inquiring swimmer.  Just do it!  Order Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating and experience the results.

   Now for some very bad news.  I just heard that health experts are recommending that some kids might need cholesterol drugs.  Terrible!  I repeat, this is a very bad development.   The answer is not risky drugs at a very young age.  Adults can have devastating side effects from these drugs.  Now someone is pushing giving them to kids?  

   So, so, so sad.

   The correct policy is for schools and parents to quit providing junk foods and to insist that their kids eat right.  Parents need to present a good example by eating a healthy, well-balanced diet.  A very good way to do that is with Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating.

   If your child tests positive for having high cholesterol, rather than resorting to medication, you should consider our meals program.  If your insurance company doesn’t want to help you with that, well, they’re wrong, and you should tell them to do the right thing.
