I thought it would be fun to highlight our Seattle Sutton’s 2014 Slim Down contestants’ favorite meals this week. We have so many tasty new meals in our 5-week menu rotation, some of which my dear readers may not have tried. So, what a better way then to hear from our contestants about the meals?
Sue said there’s not a meal she hasn’t liked! “All the meals have been super fantastic!” according to Sue. If she had to choose a favorite for each meal it would be our cranberry multigrain roll breakfast, veggie fajita lunch and potato gnocchi for dinner…and any one of the fish dinners are a very close second.
Michael P. loves our meals…he said, “They are all delicious!” He really likes any of our egg dishes and omelets for breakfast, our garden veggie burger and potato soup for lunch, and his favorite dinner is the Asian stir-fry complete with a veggie egg roll and almond cookie.
Tim said, “All the food tastes great and the combinations are very interesting.” His favorite breakfast is a tie between the breakfast quiche and SSHE’s very own granola with yogurt and fruit. His lunch favorite is the Thai turkey burger with Asian slaw. He can’t choose between the potato gnocchi or grilled salmon fillet for dinner.
Linda loves our German-style meatballs made with tender turkey meatballs, peas and pimentos in a garlic cream sauce and served over fluffy egg noodles. A close second for her is any of the meals containing fish, such as our Tex-Mex fish taco, pomegranate-glazed mahi mahi or grilled salmon with seasoned couscous.
Jessica said, “Picking a favorite meal is almost impossible for me! I don't look ahead to even see what meals I am getting each week, so it’s like a surprise on Mondays and Thursdays when I get my meals.” She especially loves the different pancakes we serve, and the veggie pita pocket lunch. For dinner she loves the spaghetti with meat sauce.
Rebekah is enjoying as she puts it, “the international cuisine.” Her favorite breakfast is the breakfast wrap ole’ and her lunch favorite is the Greek-style chicken. Her favorite dinner is the Asian stir-fry…sounds like it’s top of most people’s lists!
Lon said, “I have enjoyed all of the meals.” If he had to pick a favorite for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it would have to be the open-face breakfast sandwich, tomato soup and grilled cheese for lunch and any of the Italian meals with red sauce.
Annette is enjoying her meals as well, she likes the buttermilk pancakes for breakfast, Caesar salad for lunch and Margherita flatbread pizza for dinner.
Michael A. said, “I would have to say that all of the breakfasts are good. In fact, I have not found a meal that I do not like…in the words of Dick Vitale ‘AWESOME BABY!’” He really likes the mini turkey sliders, German-style meatballs, cousin Rosalee’s stuffed pasta shells and our classic ravioli.
Maureen knows what she likes…her favorite meals are our chicken salad sandwich lunch and any of our many delicious fish meals.

Ha, now that I undoubtedly made you hungry, you can see the variety in our meals. I bet you couldn’t do that on your own! Another reason why SSHE is so great…variety!

Speaking of contestants, I cannot forget to let you know how well they are doing. They have lost a total of 285.3 pounds in 7 weeks. They are doing GREAT! We are almost at the halfway mark. Be sure to keep abreast of their progress by following us on Facebook and checking back here next week.
