Posted on 09/18/2012

I'm pleased to announce that our Seattle Sutton's 2012 Slim Down DuPage County Contest has concluded and our 10 contestants have lost a total of 355 pounds in 15 weeks! Way to go group. You did a great job. You all look awesome!

Our first-place winner is Debbie who lost a total of 37.4 pounds and 20.62 percent of her body weight. Debbie and her husband will be enjoying a trip for their 30th wedding anniversary to Riu Palace Riviera Maya in Maya Riviera, Mexico courtesy of Apple Vacations and Riu Resorts.

The second-place winner is Sandy who lost a total of 40 pounds and 19.32 percent of her body weight. Sandy is $1,000 richer thanks to Seattle Sutton's Healthy Eating.

The third-place winner is Julie who lost a total of 39.3 pounds and 18.82 percent of her body weight. Julie will be able to continue her healthy lifestyle change with a year membership to the Kroehler Family YMCA in Naperville.

This is a first! Not only do we have three women who placed as the top three winners, but the first time a woman has won one of our weight loss contests in three contests. Way to go ladies!

The other contestants all did a super job. Their results are as follows:

  • Michelle lost a total of 40.5 pounds and 17.31 percent of her body weight.
  • Stephanie lost a total of 32.7 pounds and 17.28 percent of her body weight.
  • Kathy lost a total of 31.4 pounds and 16.32 percent of her body weight.
  • Judy lost a total of 31 pounds and 15.74 percent of her body weight.
  • Chitashia lost a total of 32 pounds and 14.75 percent of her body weight.
  • John lost a total of 33 pounds and 13.25 percent of his body weight.
  • Steve lost a total of 37.5 pounds and 11.98 percent of his body weight.

Together the group also decided to shed some clothing they could no longer wear and decided to donate 311 pounds of it to Family Shelter Service in Wheaton. What a wonderful and giving gesture by the group. We hope future contestants will be as giving as you all have been. Thank you!
