In case you didn’t hear it, calories count! And, pretty soon, you will see just how much they count. I’ve always said, “Calories in versus calories out!” Now you will see exactly how many calories are going in the next time you decide to nosh on popcorn at the theatre.

Banning natural or limiting its use in my opinion would serve many purposes, but mainly it would allow consumers to make healthier choices without getting fooled by devious companies using it to con unsuspecting people into buying their products.

Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, Rene Ficek, has some holiday eating tips for people with diabetes. These tips are good anytime of the year, but especially true during the holidays when food takes center stage at many events. These tips are also applicable to those without diabetes, anyone wanting to keep their weight and health in check.
